When this organization was formed this past November, the goal was simply:

Get the word out about Feel The Warmth, establish a base for next year and collect 100 to 150 coats by February.

The support from the community has been overwhelming!  A goal of 500, which was set after receiving over 100 coats in the first week, was more than realistic.

February 28th marked the end of the first season for Feel The Warmth. The total number of coats donated reached OVER 700!!!

Please continue to visit the site on a monthly basis for updates. Below is a summary of where the coats have been disbursed.

CADCOM (Community Action Development Commission of Montgomery County) - 60 Coats - An organization that helps less fortunate families with food and clothing.

The Hospitality Center of Montgomery County- 50 Coats - Soup kitchen open to the homeless. Shelters many during the cold weather.

Missionary Sisters of Charity - 35 Coats - Soup kitchen and shelter for the homeless

Crossroads Thrift Shop - 50 Coats - This thrift shop sells donated coats for $5 and $10. All profits go toward expenses for those traveling to help the needy throughout the world.

Individuals - 175 Coats - These are the most fulfilling deliveries. By word of mouth, we have found scores of families that have either fallen on hard times or have always found it difficult to get ahead.

Central Presbyterian - 50 Coats - This church supplies food and clothing to the homeless in Montgomery County.

Project H.O.M.E. - 120 Coats - These coats were donted to Project H.O.M.E. via Pierre Robert's WMMR coat drive. Pierre was kind enough to allow me to talk about Feel The Warmth on "air".

Military Order of the Purple Heart - 85 Coats - This organization sells clothing for pennies on the dollar. All profits help support programs created for Veterans of our military.
